We Love Lake Okanagan - "There is so much natural beauty and such a diversity of things to do that for a whole week you don't even have to leave the resort if you don't want to. From all the water activities on beautiful Okanagan Lake to golfing, playing tennis, walking on the nature trails, horseback riding, using the exercise room to participating in their organized daily activities during July and August. We found the units at Lake Okanagan Resort were tastefully decorated and complete with all the kitchen equipment and amenities.We found the resort a very friendly place and everyone from housekeeping to waiters to management were cheerful and helpful... Highly recommend Makaha Resort - "If you want a fabulous resort away from the tourist areas of Oahu Makaha Resort is for you. The pool is fabulous, the rooms comfortable and well maintained with beautiful views of the ocean or 18 hole golf course. The staff was always friendly and ready to offer insider tips of what to see and where to eat locally and there are always scheduled activities like Ukelele lessons or Lei making. ...worth it for the quiet and relaxation of the leeward side of the island. Nothing but the best - "The view was excellent. The hotel is surround by mountains. No noise. No disturbance. My kids got up just to feed the peacocks every morning and they were thrilled about it. Away from the Hustle and bustle of WAIKIKI. You are going to see the West side of Oahu. At times traffic is slow but you have to remember one thing ""YOU ARE ON A VACATION". Your BOSS is not there to rush you. If you drive another 15 minutes more on highway 1 all the way to the end, you will find a beach with no one but the lifeguard. A great golf retreat - "A golfer's dream! Only 45 minutes from Honolulu airport, this resort is a wonderful alternative to the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. If you want to escape this is definitely an area to consider, and if you are a golfer the value is incomparable anywhere else on the islands. The setting is stunning with the mountains towering behind you and the ocean view in front. Although the resort is older, the units have been renovated nicely and are very comfortable. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Be sure to rent a car so you can explore the area." - Vernon, BC.
Costa Maya Reef Resort
Loved the Costa Maya - "My family was there for two weeks over Christmas, and I still find myself missing the sandy beaches, the beautiful scenery, and the friendly locals. One day I would love to go back and snorkel in the reef that is a 10 minute kayak away from the resort." - Canada.
We will go back to Costa Maya Reef Resort - "If you want beautiful sunrises, beautiful views of the Caribbean Sea, quiet, comfort, clean rooms, and friendly people, spend your time at Costa Maya. Do go into San Pedro, there is lots to see and do and the people are so friendly. Costa Maya boat runs daily and the water taxi is convenient. We loved Costa Maya!" - Coal Valley, Illinois.
Costa Maya Gem - "This small and unpretentious resort is located on a unspoiled beach close to the Great Barrier Reef for great snorkeling and fishing, to mention only a few of pleasures available. The management and staff go out of their way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The atmosphere of the resort is relaxed and happy and there is a family-like quality of interaction between fellow guests and resort personnel. The rooms are large, clean, and comfortable, if not fancy." - San Diego, CA.
Costa Maya Reef Diving Holiday - "We spent a week at Costa Maya in January and had a fabulous time. We were very pleased with the resort, location and would go back. The staff are the resort's best asset, extremely friendly. The rooms were clean, we had a great view and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was basically stocked but sufficient. The beach was clean, always plenty of lounges available. The food in the restaurant was good and you could also order more casual fare at the beach bar. We were busy diving so didn't make use of the kayaks, etc. but others did and there was always someone fishing off the end of the dock. The whole resort just has a great 'feel' about it as does San Pedro." - Vernon, BC.
Fairmont Rancho Banderas
Loved Rancho - "My husband and I just returned from one week at Rancho Banderas and we loved it! We had a room overlooking the ocean which was wonderful. We were a group of 5 so our room was a 2 bedroom with a hideabed. We found the food at the restaurant to be exceptional and the service was amazing. (I highly recommend the Coconut Prawns ... delicioso!). We loved RB so much we're already thinking about our next trip back but this time for 2 weeks!" - Leavenworth, Washington.
Amazing Rancho Banderas - "What a wonderful vacation experience! The resort is amazing! We rented a car, and had no trouble getting around.
What I loved: Activities for all the kids/ family, very well-stocked mini market, friendly and helpful staff, DAILY maid service (!!!), 2-for-1 drinks, gorgeous beach, beautiful pool, fantastic view from bar/ restaurant. We brought our 4 kids. Our baby is a year old, and I found everything I needed for him in the market. A crib was provided for us. He enjoyed going in the pool- the lower pool is warmer than the upper one. Our 10-year old loved the waterslides. The teens liked volleyball (beach and water). We had a 2-bedroom condo. Perfect- had everything we needed. I hope to be back in the future!" - San Fransisco, CA.
Chillin in Mexico at Rancho Banderas - "We enjoyed staying at the Rancho Banderas Resort. Again, we were on vacation looking to simply have a week to relax and play in the pool and the ocean/beach. In our minds, the two greatest things about the resort are the pool and the ocean/beach. We always took the bus, which was $8 for the two of us to get into town and back. Getting to Bucerias by bus was really easy; there are lots of restaurants there also. Be sure to find out or you may have to get a taxi. We bought groceries at WalMart and fixed several meals in our condo. We also went to the towns of Sayulita and San Francisco (San Pancho). Those were cool. Oh, and if you need information, be sure to visit the front desk. If you are looking to relax, hang out by the pool, get in the ocean and play around and go for walks on a beach that is almost empty as far as you can see, then this is a great place. That's what we were looking for and that's what we experienced." - Kansas.
Portofino Resort
"We returned a week ago from our vacation at Portofino Resort in Cabo. We found the resort to be centrally located within short distances to shopping, beach, restaurants, etc. Car rental was unnecessary as the cabs were nearly right outside the front gate--fares were negotiable. We found that $10 US could take you most anywhere in the city. Car rental was one block away for those who wished to explore. The marina and all it's shops were a very short walk--about 10 to 15 minutes. The cantina next door has excellent food and the music would go on until about 11pm but with the air conditioner operating, was not a problem. We appreciated the gated resort with security there at all times. There was no elevator but the stairs were not a problem from us--unless you're coming back from a all day walk--then you take it slow. Pool was very nice. Found the management to be very helpful and hospitable. Our room was exceptional--much more than we had expected. The view from our veranda was beautiful and now we understand the full meaning of siesta. Our maid service was also very good. Enjoyed our stay, plan to return. P.S. Caught my first marlin in Cabo!!" - April 2008.
